Diversity and Disability Alliance Incorporated.

Today we had the privilege of attending the Independent Living Community Discussion in Bankstown, hosted by Diversity and Disability Alliance (DDA).

The event focused on one of the most critical challenges in the sector, access to suitable, person-centred housing. Lewin E. from AccessAccom provided valuable insights on SDA housing, emphasising the importance of clear communication between providers and participants.

However, the most powerful voices came from the participants themselves, who shared their genuine struggles, ranging from long wait times to rigid housing models that don’t fit their lives.

At Kindspire Support, conversations like these guide how we improve, by listening and adapting, from matching the right support workers to offering flexible drop-in SIL.

A big thank you to Abrahim Darouiche for facilitating such a respectful and impactful space.

Good support starts by listening, and today reminded us why that matters.
