Celebrating Abilities at Fairfield’s Abilities Unleashed Kids Event!
The Fairfield Leisure Centre transformed into a hub of excitement as children aged 5–18 living with sensory, physical, and intellectual disabilities gathered for the Abilities Unleashed Kids event. From adaptive activities to teamwork-based games, every moment was designed to celebrate inclusion, fun, and movement for all.
KindSpire Support proudly volunteered at the event, lending a helping hand in ensuring every child felt supported and celebrated. The highlight for many was receiving their Certificate of Participation, a simple but powerful reminder of their achievements. The pride and smiles on the kids’ faces said it all.
Throughout the day, participants rotated through a variety of “come and try” sports, supported by experienced coaches and volunteers. Whether running across the field, navigating with adaptive equipment, or discovering new ways to play, each child embraced the chance to build confidence and joy through movement.
This event would not have been possible without the collaboration of Disability Sports Australia, MatchWorks, Fairfield High School, Ultimate Soccer, and the dedicated community volunteers. Together, we showcased what true inclusion looks like, empowering kids to feel strong, capable, and celebrated.
