“You Can’t Pour from an Empty Cup, R U OK? Day Community Connection Event”

At Kindspire Support, supporting mental health starts with connection, both with ourselves and with our communities. On R U OK? Day, we co-hosted the “You Can’t Pour from an Empty Cup, Community Connection Event” alongside an amazing lineup of partners, including Beyond Fun Centre, DESSA PTY LTD, APM Futures, Autism Community Network, Plan Partners, Surgical House, Uniting Counselling & Mediation, Able Minds Services, and many more.

The morning was full of energy, laughter, and meaningful conversations. Attendees participated in interactive activities, shared stories, and learned practical ways to check in on their friends, family, and colleagues. Generous donations to R U OK? will support ongoing initiatives to foster connection and raise awareness about mental health across the country.

We were reminded that mental health is something we nurture together. Just like the saying goes: “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Taking care of yourself enables you to be there for others, and events like this help us all refill our cups through community, conversation, and care.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and helped make this morning such a meaningful success. Let’s continue to stay connected, check in on one another, and make mental health a priority every day.
